Funny Amway Stories?

"This is my story. One of the women I teach with got involved with Amway. She had asked me to come to meetings many times and I refused (the "I can't tell you about it" is the tip-off). One day she asks me if I can come over to listen to a guy they are training. She says he needs to experience a resistant contact and I fit the bill. I was intrigued.

I go and meet this young man and we begin by me telling him I am not interested. He has a whole presentation on an easel. At one point I was laughing at it and he goes into this part where he asks me if I want to be on welfare. I say of course not and why would he say such a thing. He tells me it is a fact that 75% of Americans will be on welfare before they die. I literally yelled bullshit and asked him to show me where he was getting that info. Guess where? He was counting the collection of Social Security Benefits as "welfare". Needless to say he never got another word in and was backing out the door by the time I was just winding down.

I shared my views on the Social Security program and my guess that he didn't even know how Social Security was administered or how it was conceived. He knew nothing he admitted and this was just what he was told to say.

The teacher and her husband were silent and I left. I wrote them off then and there. As a footnote the wife of the founder of Amway was the head of the Republican Party in Michigan and a strong proponent of school vouchers. She is very powerful in Republican circles." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"This is the scenario. A good friend comes up to me and sez, "Dude! You gotta come to this meeting tonight, there's an awesome business opportunity, but I can't tell you about it." So, I fall for it.

I go to the meeting and it's a hard-sell indoctrination to the 'Amway Lifestyle'. Well, I'm no salesman, but I agree to sell a few things for them. Next thing I know, the 'friend' is pushing me to sell more and more. Actually, "buy" is the right description, because you pay up front for the products. Long story short, I give up on Amway and the friend because it just creeped me out.

Later, another two friends tried to do the same thing to me, invite me to a business meeting, hush-hush, etc. But in these cases, I asked them straight out, "This isn't Amway, is it?" They both lied to me barefaced. As soon as I got to these "sessions" and saw the Amway sign or products on the table, I turned tail and never looked back at the room or the friend again." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"I've lost two friends from college, and I can safely say the reason I stopped talking to them is because they joined Amway (or Quickstar, which is essentially Amway.com) and every single damn time I visited with them, they'd try to convince me to join. Under them, of course, so they'd make all that money and retire when they're 30) One of them even showed up at a friend's 30'th birthday party just to work the crowd. You know, looking for potential members (suckers) to join his "little business venture" as he liked to call it. Ask them what they did, and the replied "I'm in business for myself." Ask what kind of business, and they both replied "I create opportunities." Mind you, these friends didn't know each other, and they joined Amway six years apart. But the song-and-dance was nearly identical.

On Edit: They got so annoying that we simply didn't call them when we were having a party or other kind of get-together. Hell, two of my friends didn't even invite him to their wedding because they knew he'd work the crowd there, too."

haha what you didn't realise is your friends were trying to help you and offer you the opportunity of a lifetime. What's the bet you aren't making a residual income right now in the hundred's of thousands per year. Whats the bet you can't walk away from your job without getting paid. Sorry but your the fool and you walked away from something that was so real. No networking marketing companies fail, you just fail them but not working your butt off to get the eventual lifestyle you would deserve! Sorry but you lucked out!

You are right Lisa, I am leaving my 12 years full time JOB...Amway is paying me $3,700 a month...so far so good,,,I am a winner...sorry for this person who doesn't have dreams, hope, purpose in life...sorry looser

And if you believe that Unknown is making $3,700/mo from Amway, I have a bridge to sell you.

"Fake it til you never make it".

yep Lisa's right, you negative people miss out. Anyway can do Network Marketing if they set their mind to it. Its only the winner's that make it because they stick it out and do the hard work and what it takes. It's the losers that quit and sorry to say you'll be dead broke when you retire just like the other 98% of the world. If you want to be a 2% person, join network marketing unless you've got what it takes to be a world wide celebrity!

oh blah blah blah...winners vs. losers...yawn. hey, speaking of losers, HOW ABOUT THEM TIGERS?

I love how all of Amway are brainwashed to believe all these false dillemmas that Amway has built it's distributors on. If you're not in Amway, well then, the only other explaination is you're a loser! If you're not in network marketing, you'll be working and broke until you die! Really? That's THE ONLY other option outside Amway? That is why you all are still in it being suckered that everyone has a chance in it. Think otherwise. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE IN AMWAY TO BE PROFITABLE AT THE SAME TIME. IT'S A ZERO SUM GAME! IN ORDER FOR A FEW PEOPLE TO MAKE A LOT AT THE TOP, EVERYONE AT THE BOTTOM MUST LOSE. NOT EVERYONE AT THE POKER TABLE CAN WIN ALL AT ONCE. THAT IS HOW IT WORKS, AND VERY UNETHICAL. IF YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT RECIEVING LARGE GAINS FROM THE COLLECTIVE MASS LOSSES, THEN IT WOULD MAKE SENSE YOU ARE THE ONE THAT THINKS AMWAY IS THE ONLY ANSWER. I HOPE YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOUR "SUCCESS." By the way, my family has a NON amway biz that is hugely successful, and in less than one years time, it needs to expand outside our area. We have over a million dollars in prime farm real estate that people offer to buy all the time because it is only going up. I know that is completely contrary to what the diamonds preach to their worshipping amdroids, but not everything they say is true. Just because some upline somewhere took a 'shot' at a rental property and got completely duped because they didn't know what they are doing and did it on a whim, isn't a basis that the real estate market is 'in the tank.' Just like you amdroids like to say, "you have to work it.' My family has way more success than 99% of amdroids ever have and ever will. And much faster. Our family business became way more profitable in the first 4 months of doors opening than an emerald, and that takes what? a couple years if you're blazing fast? The point is, QUIT ACTING LIKE AMWAY IS THE ONLY THING IN THE WORLD. IT ISN'T! IF YOU'RE SUCCESSFUL AT IT GREAT, BUT DON'T FOOLISHLY RUN YOUR MOUTH THAT UNLESS YOU'RE IN AMWAY, YOU'LL BE A LOSER AND NEVER MAKE IT. THINK BEFORE YOU TALK, AND DON'T BE AFRAID TO CHALLENGE THE THINGS UPLINE SAY. I HAVE FOUND MANY FALLACIES IN MY TIME IN AMWAY... I am NOT an Amdroid, I am not negative, and I am successful and happy and profitable, and I DO live my life that I want with the people I want. I joined Amway since I am an entreprenuer, and found many, many, many errors in the perception of the economy. Amdroids are NOT economic experts. Though for some reason, once they're in for a week they think they are. They all spout misguided information they hear upline say. They build the business on bashing other businesses and failed real estate ventures. Nothing I heard about outside businesses and real estate ever applied to my own situation. So I drew the conclusion, this Amway thing is for the rest of the people who don't have a chance to make it any other way. Peace out.

if AMWAY makes u rich and it has been there for 50 years...why isnt the world filled with millionaires and billionaires!!
acc to AMWAY...dishonesty is the way!! such unethical bloodsuckers who take advantage of those who are economically weak!
one of this guy wanted to lure me into this crap...he said he saw great potential in me! and a couple of days later when i said a NO to him he said he knew i would not join because he knew i had a negative attitude in life.
he infact asked me not to share the facts i told him to quit this shit with other people! he asked me not to tell this even to my mom dad!!
its a scam build on lies and dishonesty and people who make money by cheating others will never be happy!! GOD is watching u sick assholes!

To all AMWAY haters ...
keep the hatred burning .. i loose nothing and you keep loosing opportunity..
I guess u never went to business school ... and never know how to create wealth ...
AMWAY is just a platform to start a residual income .. u loose nothing if it does not work for you !!!
I believe you are stuck up in the viscous cycle of income from a job and paying the debts for rest of the life ...
keep doing so ..
or start a residual income ...
bye bye ..

Common sense people. If Amway really made you rich, no one would have to pitch it to you. It would sell itself. And Amway Aholes, maybe some of us have a higher calling in life than selling consumer products. Its not all about money. Some people join professions because they love the work and are proud of what they do (teachers, police officers, attorneys, etc). Oh well, there are a million new suckers born every year for you to exploit. Enjoy you shallow pathetic life!

mmmmm this is interesting, i came to this blog to research aspects of amway before i decide to judge it in any way. i normally dont comment on these sort of things but for some reason i feel like just giving some input to those who are in and out of amway. First i can admit that i personally dont know about amway so i will not judge something i dont know but i will judge things i see. the way alot of people are acting about this topic is a bit ridiculous. I believe amway might have some potential( otherwise there wouldnt be any curiousity about it) but from what the blog posts describe, there seems to be a poor i repeat very poor representation of the company. this is not to say all amway employees are poor but it is to say the ones you have dealt with are setting a bad rep and may have been taught incorrectly on how to approach and help others sorounding their business. My Advice for both amway employees and potential amway employees dont react in a way that causes for YOUR company to look bad.Have values in your approach to any business plan and dont do things out of greed.I believe people are not as stupid as you may think hell they might even be smarter than you and see through why your talking to them even if you dont know it your self. When someone tries to tell someone to come join me in this potential business venture it sets an alarm in your head. You ask WHY. Both employees of amway and just entrepeneurs should know this. you ask Why because you question their intentions. why do they want me to come? the answer to this questions 9/10 is solely based on gut feeling so if i feel you are trying to take advantage of me , i will literally say NOPE and leave. It is the breaking point for meweather i trust you or believe your a snake. So change your mentality because it is easy to see the intention of someone when it involves someones greed not only that but it sets a bad representation for your company and kills any future business investment you may be hoping to gain. Now i noticed alot of marketing companies act this way(act in secret almost sneaky in hopes of not scaring off a potential customer) but i feel like if people where straight forward about the business they might get more business. Those who are interested in amway should adopt a different perspective. allow for your potential customers to trust you(not to say do it sneakily) but be straight forward and dont revert to negative feelings if you are declined. have class and accept a rejection, move on.For those who are not in the company try not to be closed minded, of course be on guard and cautious but dont shut it down without knowing, that too shows close mindedness. I hope this is not taken as something negative but as an objective opinion from a person who is just passing by. For those in amway wish you best of luck and for those out of it, good luck with your future businesses.

I hate Amway people because they are not only so dumb and stupid and greedy but selfish to the core. no one likes to be used. because only things can be used not human. if i use a person, it means i thinking him of like a thing - a chocolate to eat may be !!. the whole amway is based on using people as things. dumbos dont get it and get hated by everyone.

The only reason people don't believe is because they don't see results right away, yeah it takes time effort and lots of dedication but that's all up to the person there lots of people out there that can tell you about there good experience with amway, and not only tell you but show you there check that comes in every month. Some for 3,000 10,00 hell 6-9 dollars but at least their getting money back unlike people talking down on Amway. And maybe there is people that don't know a thing about Amway but that's why they have CDs conventions your upline to teach you. In this world we all have to work to get money well you gotta work in Amway too but the difference is that in a future your gonna be making more than enough money so you won't have to work for somebody that technacly controls your schedule and if you don't follow the schedule you could get tiered so keep talking all that shit that's why all the lazy non believers are still in a job having to be somebodys slave

Oh and for the people that say they don't like to be used your already being used by your boss, and if your already a boss you still being used and have no time because you have to be on top of everything.

Actually I don't believe in Amway because I can do the math. Amway costs more than other similar products and I can also see that most IBOs who attend functions are losing money. It's easy to see.

You amway people are idiots. True studies have shown that less than %1 of distributors make $ 70,000 per year

If you don't need your money, why not join crapway? It's not just a get - rich quick scheme, it's a goddam cult. Put on a suit you can't afford in the first place while you chase dime bags or whatever at seminars you pay for out of the untold riches you'll no doubt make selling overpriced bags of detergent to the few family members who will still admit to knowing you. AM - HOLES.

ROTFLMAO!

Just do the math. Every dollar somebody earns chasing a dream in Amway comes from somebody giving up a dollar to chase their own Amway dream. Often, the guy on the receiving end kicks that dollar up the Amway chain to the guy selling him the dream. it's a simple ponzi scheme when you put it on paper. Anybody who is successful in Amway would have been more successful selling copy paper (or any other goods or services) to people who actually wanted the product ...bonus is that they wouldn't waste time chasing "prospects" or alienating friends and family.

Heck ...go into business selling expensive suits to Amway suckers who can't actually afford them and you'll make a killing.
