Amway Global - Businesses Don't Turn A Profit Right Away?

Many IBOs defend their continued losses in Amway (primarily due to standing order and functions) by saying that businesses often do not make money in the first few years, perhaps up to five years. This is a myth taught by uplines. I will go on to explain further.

A new conventional business may not make money right away. While that may be true, it is often because the owner has not yet made up his initial investment and may still be building up a customer base. However, once a business opens its doors, they make profits from customer purchases and for many businesses, eventually the customer base is enough to sustain the business.

In the Amway opportunity, many upline will entice recruits to join by saying their is no overhead, little operating costs and whatnot. Therefore, there is no reason why an Amway IBO should be in business for five years without a profit. This is just bullshit taught by uplines so their new IBOs think they are investing in their business or that this is normal, for an Amway business owner to not make money for a few years. This hides the fact that uplines are draining their downline's resources one standing order at a time, or one function at a time.

If you are an IBO or a prospect, there is no reason you cannot make a profit right away. Simply avoid buying training materials and focus on selling product. It is that simple. Uplines who tell you that training and motivation is your priority probably do not have your best interest at heart, regardless of what they might tell you.

Joe, I am taken aback. this blog is very neutral and informative at the same time.

For those who don't know my name is levi an actual IBO of Amway Global and Joe here has hit the button right on the head. I teach my downlines to focus on selling the products they use most (since they would have first hand experience in that product) and when they are comfortable and making sales then they could decide for themselves whether to persue educational tools or to use at their descretion.

If they are comfortable with making sales, then why pursue
educational tools?

Joe,
I am SURE you are a former IBO that has utilized every tool, training material; attended the events on the weekends; made a clientele; used all of Amway's home products; and tried your best to make your business a legitimate one, and after trying so hard, discovered you were a victim, right?
Only people that have experienced being victimized can talk with such confidence so negatively about a company. If by any chance, you weren't ever an IBO, please let others dream about prosperity and let them try for their own. I hope no one's eargerness for success may be affected by your negativity and frustration in life. You need to develope your researching skills.

Anonymous, the problem with Amway is that it is filled with false hopes and dreams. The vast majority of people will never see the dreams that upline talks about, at least they will not realize it as a result of Amway income.

You may as well promote the lottery as means to fulfill your dreams.

Why does anyone in any profession choose to attend seminars or buy books related to their field?

Speaking of the lottery.
I heard an advertisement that promoted purchsing tickets for a daily 3 and a daily 4 and having the option to buy many chances becuase it was so cheap to play and the winnings were so great.

So, on a "daily" basis spending anywhere from 5 to 10 dollars is anything different than the investment in Amway?

Yep, you have about as much chance of winning the lottery as you do of maintaining a diamondship in Amway, except that buying lottery tickets doesn't take much effort.

Joe, the lottery is random, whereas if you laid down a plan of action to how you are going to run your Amway business instead of following someone else in hopes that they know what they are doing.

Joecool said...

Yes, the lottery is random, but overall, the success rate is similar to Amway. Prospecting recruits for Amway is random too isn't it?

in most lines yes, but not in one who would want to produce a happy and thriving downline who is prodcutive and making money.
